Based in Santa Clara, NVIDIA is a technology company focused on the semiconductor, video game, and computer hardware industries. Along with providing all of the state-of-the-art computers at the Cal Esports Community Center, NVIDIA is committed to empowering the students. Whether it be providing industry mentors to our Cal Women in Gaming initiative, opportunities through the GeForce Student Program, or a multitude of internships & new graduate jobs, NVIDIA strives to create a better community at UC Berkeley.
NRG
NRG Esports is one of the premier esports organizations of the world, backed by influential names such as Sacramento King's co-owner Andy Miller, Jennifer Lopez, NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal, as well as MLB legends Alex Rodriguez & Jimmy Rollins. By partnering with Cal Esports, NRG has become the first organization to fully support a collegiate esports program and through this partnership, we hope to leverage each other's resources and fanbases to truly create something special.
Corsair
Founded in 1994, Corsair has grown from pioneering the high-performance DRAM market to one of the worlds leading providers of enthusiast-grade PC components and peripherals. Along with providing all of the peripherals used at the Cal Esports Community Center, Corsair equips the Cal Esports teams with the gear they'll need to bring home national championships. Corsair is also actively involved on campus through their student program, reaching out to students providing a plethora of opportunities.
Riot Games
In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to worldwide acclaim. The game has since gone on to become the most played PC game in the world and a key driver of the explosive growth of esports. Riot has provided scholarships to the Division I League of Legends Team, as they actively seek to provide pathways for collegiate esports programs around the world to flourish. Through our partnership, we've also been able to launch our Intramural League of Legends League, which has seen record numbers of attendance!
SF Shock
SF Shock is the official Overwatch League team of NRG Esports and the team represents the Bay Area. Put simply, there is no other team you want to root for. Through Cal Esports, SF Shock hosts viewing parties, LANs, as well as other events for the community to come together and have fun. The team also provides coaching help to the Division I Overwatch team, and is always on the lookout to incorporate Berkeley students into their organization.
